Two arrests have been made in connection to a Bartlesville man who was found dead in Osage County on August 29. 19-year-old Lakenvian Jernigan was the victim who was found along Highway 123 and County Road 2300 last week.
19-year-old Augustus Pruitt is currently booked into the Osage County Jail on recommended charges of accessory to murder. Also, 18-year-old Anthony Pruitt was booked in the Washington County Jail and charged with felony possession of firearm at arraignments on Tuesday. He is being held on a $500,000 bond. Osage County Sheriff Eddie Virden says more arrests are likely. Virden believes this was a possible multi-jurisdictional crime. However, Bartlesville Police Sergeant Daniel Elkins says the investigation has been handed to the OCSO. Jernigan died from an apparent gunshot wound. We have reported that Jernigan has allegedly been involved in multiple cases. One case revolved around a drive-by shooting last January where he pleaded guilty in Washington County Court. Anthony Pruitt was a co-defendant in the case. The investigation is still ongoing at this time. Comments are closed.
