19 Year-Old Tyler Reece and 31 Year-Old Jeremy Reece were arrested in on September 9, 2015 and have been charged with First Degree Murder, Kidnapping, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, and Desecration of a Human Corpse. Tyler Reece admitted to investigators in September that he an his brother drove to Holt's home September 5, 2015 and in a altercation killed Holt and took his body to an Oil Lease in Osage County to bury him. Osage County Sheriffs discovered and exhumed Holt's remains on September 9. The Defendant's attorneys Gretchen Mosley, Adam Haselgren, and Peter Astor filed a Motion for Dismissal in November siting the County did not have jurisdiction over the case as the alleged crime took place on Tribal Land. For the State of Oklahoma, Assistant District Attorney Mike Fisher stipulated that the brothers are enrolled in the Muskogee Creek Nation and were not eligible for trial under the Osage Nation.
