The Board of Osage County Commissioners met for a regularly scheduled meeting at the courthouse in Pawhuska Monday morning and got a number of things accomplished.
The commissioners chose Heritage Hills Construction and Roofing to make repairs to the county treasurer's roof. Their bid sheet says this will take 10 days to complete and the cost is just over $27,000. Nutrition Program Director for the county, Kyme Vincent, was at the meeting requesting $80,000 in local funding. This is something Vincent has always requested, but it usually comes later in the calendar year. Vincent said the state isn't supporting the program as it has in years past and this is why she is requesting the funding now. The commissioners granted her the $80,000. Indian Nations Council of Government REAP contracts were signed to purchase radios for the Pershing Volunteer Fire Department, surface the McCord senior center parking lot, make improvements to the Green Country Volunteer Fire Department and re-surface a one mile stretch of Fairfax Lake Rd. Last years mileage reimbursement rate was $58.00. The commissioners set it at $57.50 this year and there were no utility permits signed at the meeting. The next regularly scheduled Board of Osage County Commissioners meeting will be next Monday at 10 o' clock in the morning. Comments are closed.
