The Pawhuska Huskies will get to stay in the friendly confines of Ormond Beach Stadium all the way through the Class A football playoff semifinals.
The Huskies won their coin-toss over the weekend to face Cashion at home on Friday night for a chance at making the Class A state championship game. Pawhuska easily advanced past the quarterfinals on Friday night, beating Mooreland 44-6. The semifinals for state are historically played at neutral sites in Oklahoma, however the OSSAA has said this year it has had trouble finding host sites for the games. Pawhuska head coach Matt Hennesy says he would have preferred a neutral site, but they will play Cashion wherever, and he says he expects the crowd to be big. Pawhuska hosting Cashion on Friday night at 7:00 from Ormond Beach Stadium, a game we will carry on Sports Talk 99.1 FM – KPGM and KPGMTV.com. More on that game throughout the week, as well.
