Friday night in Osage County will be one of the biggest high school football games the area has seen in several years.
Pawhuska has a chance to advance to the Class A Football State Championship game , as the Huskies host Cashion in the state semifinals. Both teams are undefeated, Cashion is 13-0 and will likely be the best team Pawhuska has faced all year. As we reported last weekend, Pawhuska won a coin toss to earn the right to host the semifinal game on Friday at Ormond Beach Stadium. Head coach Matt Hennesy says maybe winning the toss was the kind of luck his team needs toward the end of the postseason. Cashion has won four straight games in the playoffs by large margins. Its closest game came last week in a 41-22 victory over Woodland. The 22 points surrendered in that game was the most Cashion has given up all year. Hennesy says his Pawhuska offense will be up against a tough defense in Cashion. A 7:00 kick with a 6:30 pregame. We will have Pawhuska football, as we have all season long, on 99.1 FM – KPGM and KPMTV.com. Comments are closed.
