The Pawhuska basketball court will have a fresh smell to it when the Huskies take the court for the first game later this year. Superintendent and girls basketball coach, David Cash, says when he first arrived on campus a year ago, he knew the gym floor would have to be replaced sooner rather than later.
Once school let out, students began tearing up the gym floor getting it ready for a company to lay the new foundation. Cash added that there will be a new air conditioning unit in the arena as well. He was scared about how much that might cost, but the community has stepped up in a big way to help pay for it. Cash expects the floor to be ready by October 1. He adds that the floor design will look different and there will be a ribbon cutting for people to see it. (Photo Courtesy of the Pawhuska Public Schools Facebook Page) Comments are closed.
