Osage County Election Board Secretary Andrea Conner said in a press release that candidates for the Board of Education in Osage County school districts will need to file their Declarations of Candidacy over three days beginning at 8am on Monday, December 5, and continuing Tuesday and Wednesday.
Conner said the official filing period ends at 5pm, on Wednesday, December 7th. All candidate filings will occur at the Osage County Election Board office, 630 Kihekah Ave, in Pawhuska. The Board of Education positions at stake will be filled at the Annual School Election scheduled February 14, 2017. If no candidate receives more than 50% of the total votes cast in this election, the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes will meet in a Runoff Election on Tuesday, April 4, 2017.
