After a convincing 64-18 victory over Drumright on Friday, the Barnsdall Panthers look to continue their winning ways this week, as they take on an Olive team that has yet to win a game this season. Coach Kylee Sweeney said the Panthers followed the game plan to perfection last week, as Hunter Auschwitz ran for 230 yards in the first half alone, quarterback Keegan Marin was 14 of 18 passing and five receivers caught multiple passes. Josh Weber added an interceptionon the defensive side of the ball as well.
Heading into the season, the Panthers had a quarterback battle between Keegan Marin and Josh Weber. While the Panthers still have a few packages for Weber, Sweeney has mostly turned the reigns over to Marin, something Marin says he has worked very hard for. Barnsdall plays host to Olive this Friday, a team that comes in to the contest yet to win a game this year. Sweeney says after watching them on film, they are better than what their 0-4 record indicates. Kickoff from Barnsdall is scheduled for 7 p.m. Comments are closed.
