Severe weather season is quickly approaching so for those of you interested in learning how to stay safe during storms, go to the Osage County Fairgrounds in Pawhuska this Thursday. Osage County Emergency Manager Jerry Roberts says the National Weather Service will be on hand telling the public what they should be aware of when looking at storms.
Roberts adds that this event will focus more on safety as opposed to how to properly chase storms. Roberts did say a portion of the training program will be dedicated to storm chasing for emergency personnel in the county. Roberts hopes no tornadoes rip through Osage County, but Alabama already had a deadly EF4 tornado over the weekend, so he wants area residents to be prepared for the worst. Comments are closed.
