The meeting of the Osage County Board of County Commissioners Monday morning was business as usual, especially considering the quickly approaching end of the fiscal year. The Commissioners received a report from John Blickensderfer from Guy Engineering regarding the Eight Year CIRB Road and Bridge Plan, during which Blickenderfer announced the changes to the plan from last year due to the $50 million state budget cuts to CIRB funds.
Kyme Vincent from the Osage County Nutrition Program discussed awarding bids for Food, Dairy, Paper and cleaning products. Vincent brought forward an issue with the previous low bidder, Graves Menu Maker, where they had received multiple shipments of dairy products which were outside of acceptable temperature, and unable to be used. Vincent also mentioned that Graves had implemented a minimum order cost for shipments and requested the commissioners to make an alternate choice. The commissioners awarded the bids for Food and Paper and Cleaning supplies to US Foods and will return to ordering Dairy products from Hiland Dairy. The Osage County Board of Commissioners will meet again next Monday at 10 o'clock at the Osage County Courthouse in Pawhuska. Comments are closed.
