Unemployment numbers for the month of April will be released for the state of Oklahoma on Friday morning. April numbers aren’t yet available, but it is believed a significant increase will be seen from what was released in the month of March.
Secretary of Digital Transformation and Administration, David Ostrowe said the employment security commission’s website was not built to handle that high capacity. Ostrowe said the website was designed to handle between 1,500 and 2,500 claims a week. It is estimated that Oklahoma has paid less than half of those who have submitted unemployment assistance claims. There have also been issues with people getting the money onto their debit cards. It is estimated that more than 6,000 people have attempted to report a fraudulent unemployment claim in the state. Bartlesville Radio will release those unemployment numbers when they are released Friday morning. Comments are closed.
