A wild manhunt in Osage County is over, as a suspect was put into custody and has been taken to a hospital after allegedly leading authorities on a manhunt and injuring an Osage County Sheriff's deputy.
According to the Osage County Sheriff's Office, an Osage County Sheriff's deputy suffered a broken leg, and authorities have since arrested Cameron Enox, who is now in a Tulsa hospital. Reportedly, sometime around 2:00 AM on Monday an Osage County Sheriff's deputy tried to pull over a white pickup truck for a traffic stop after observing erratic driving - The vehicle took off and law enforcement started a pursuit. There was a collision between the suspect and law enforcement's vehicles at St. Paul and Lynn Lane in Pawhuska, when a sheriff’s deputy got out of his car. Osage County Sheriff Eddie Virden explains what happened next. Virden went on to say that a Pawhuska police officer followed the car in a pursuit. When Enox’s car came back toward law enforcement, shots were fired toward the truck. Enox then got out of his car and ran. Officers arrested a female passenger at the scene. Enox was located at a later time, brought into custody and taken to a Tulsa hospital, as Enox was struck by one of the bullets.
