The Pawhuska Huskies fell to The Pawnee Black Bears in a high scoring 46-40 affair Friday night. That game decided the Class A-5 district championship, but nonetheless the Huskies finished second and have a home playoff game against Oklahoma Union this Friday. Coach Matt Hennesy says it is important to move on from that loss because he knows the Cougars will come ready to play.
Pawhuska defeated Oklahoma Union 60-18 earlier in the season. Following that Pawhuska loss, the Cougars went 6-2 and outscored their opponents 256-100. Coverage of that ballgame can be heard on Sportstalk KPGM FM 99.1. Pregame will start at 6:50 p.m. and kickoff will take place at 7 from Ormond-Beach Memorial Stadium. Comments are closed.
