The Dick Conner Correctional Center in Hominy was locked down for a short time Friday afternoon due to a fight among inmates.
According to the News on 6, the fight took place around 1:30 in the medium-security facility’s gym. Five of the inmates were injured, but all injuries were minor. No staff members were hurt. There will be no visitation this weekend and an Oklahoma Department of Corrections statement says that locking down a facility is a customary inmate safety precaution ODOC takes while security staff investigates what happened.
