At the Monday meeting of the Osage County Board of Commissioners, Chris Brubaker from Samaritan EMS provided and update, Osage County Treasurer Sally Hulse discussed County Owned Property, and Charity Kossin gave a presentation on City on a Hill – Inpatient Treatment Center.
Brubaker informed the Commissioners that Samaritan had a successful first weekend in service. The new Emergency Medical Service responded to calls and transported patients without issue; Samaritan was also able to bring in a second crew to cover the Green Country Rodeo. Charity Kossin from the City on a Hill Women's Inpatient Treatment Center gave a presentation to the Commissioners about the what the Sedan facility offers and requested the commissioners take into consideration providing funding for the Non-Profit organization or think about their services when drafting contracts in the future, the Commissioners highlighted the importance of the service and said they will keep them in mind. Osage County Treasurer Sally Hulse brought forward an idea of holding an Auction to sell some of the 64 properties currently on the County's book. The County had acquired 50 properties during the last resale and has slowly been selling them off, however, and auction could enable the County to get the lots off the books at a higher price. Many of the properties which have been sold since the resale sell for between $200 and $1000 without additional bids, the only property to receive competitive bids sold for $4100. Last year alone the County put more than $60,000 into maintenance of reclaimed properties. An Auction will be tentatively scheduled for October. The Osage County Board of County Commissioners will meet again next Monday at the Osage County Courthouse in Pawhuska. Comments are closed.
