The Courtroom was nearly filled to capacity at the Osage County Courthouse in Pawhuska Monday evening for the celebration of Commissioner Bob Jackson's service to Osage County. While Bob Jackson has only served as commissioner for 6 years he has served Osage County for 45. Jackson has in his words done a little bit of everything during his time, but being a Commissioner is what he is most proud of. District #2 Commissioner Scott Hilton was master of ceremony for the Retirement celebration in a room filled with family and friends, and honored Jackson with a plaque and kind words. Jackson began serving as District #1 Commissioner in 2009 after the death of Commissioner Clarence Brantley. Jackson will be replaced by his first officer Jerry Howerton on the Osage County Board of County Commissioners until an election for the District #1 seat can be held. Comments are closed.
