A routine traffic stop results in five arrested for transporting a large quantity of marijuana and cash. Pawhuska Police conducted a traffic stop Saturday evening in which the occupants were in possession of nearly 2lb of marijuana and almost $2,000 in cash. The five occupants of the vehicle were arrested and taken to Osage County Jail. 21 Year-Old Stevee Gordon of Pawhuska, 25 Year-Old Brennan Boyd of Colorado Spring, along with 20 Year-Old Tommie Keene, 25 Year-Old Chelsey Seabolt, 22 Year-Old Dalton Smith, all from Winfield, Kanasas, were arrested Saturday and have been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, and Child Endangerment. The arrest occurred along Highway 99 and Prue Road. Their Court date has not been set.
The Osage County Sheriffs Office is asking for public assistance locating a suspect in a recent burglary. The burglary occurred on Friday, February 3, at a residence near 41st West Avenue and 43rd Street North, in Osage County. The unidentified suspect was caught on video subservience Friday morning around 9:18am. The images can be viewed appove.

Tuesday morning the Osage County Sheriff’s Office received a call of several burglaries in the Bowring/Whippoorwill area of Osage County. The victim reported that sometime between late Monday night and early Tuesday morning someone had stolen a 2012 Ford F350 pickup with a large cattle feeder on the back from their residence.
Further investigation revealed a second storage building had also been burglarized with additional property taken. Deputies then received a call from a second victim in the same area. The second victim reported that a cabin, RV, and an out building had all been burglarized with property stolen from all three. Officers and Investigators continued the investigation which resulted in several search warrants being issued Wednesday afternoon near Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Numerous reported stolen items from the burglaries have been recovered, and a second stolen vehicle was recovered, which was stolen out of Tulsa. The Osage County Sheriff’s Office was able to identify and arrest one suspect in the case. 37 year-old Josh William Strom has been charged for several counts of knowingly holding stolen property and several counts of burglary. The Osage County Sheriff’s Office is also seeking information on a second suspect and has released a photo, which is seen above. A domestic assault incident resulted in a woman shot near Pawhuska. The Osage County Sheriff’s Office reported receiving the call Wednesday evening regarding a possible shooting just south of Pawhuska. When deputies arrived on scene they discovered the incident was the result of a domestic assault and the female victim had been shot in the head.
The suspect, 53 year-old Tracy Dale Kelley, fled the scene and was later was located and placed under arrest in Craig County by Craig County Deputies and Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Kelley has been placed in Osage County Jail charged with shooting with intent to kill. The victim remains unidentified, but is listed in stable condition. A Pawhuska substitute teacher has been arrested for exposing her genitalia to junior high school students. Pawhuska Police report that 34 year-old Lacey Sponsler was arrested Tuesday afternoon for indecent exposure. Sponsler was a substitute for a junior high school choir class when she allegedly performed a cartwheel while wearing a skirt and no under garments.
The Pawhuska Police also report that the incident was captured on a student's cell phone. While the incident was recorded, Sponsler reportedly told Pawhuska Police “she did not remember performing the cartwheel” and exposing herself. Sponsler claimed she was “dancing with the students” and “trying to be a cool teacher.” However Pawhuska Police report Sponsler informed students she was not wearing underwear prior to the cartwheel, and instructed students to destroy the video. As of Wednesday afternoon Sponsler was still in Osage County Jail. |
